Perfect for a tomato-braised dish!

  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried tarragon
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp caraway seeds

Prep time: 5 minutes
Yields: approximately 3/4 cup of spice rub

Preparation: Whisk together all of the ingredients in a small bowl and use as a rub of your choice.

Yasmine’s notes: To test the NOT hot, but warm and inviting flavors of this spice rub, I suggest you try it in a protein braise, such as my Warm Peach & Cranberry-Braised Pork Chops. You can also preserve this rub by storing it in a small jar with a lid.
